Does the orange light always stay on while it is plugged in?
The charging light will be orange when the tracker is in the ON position while charging and will go out when the battery is fully charged. The microtracker’s orange light may start flickering when the battery is fully charged.
What is a SIM card?
A sim card is short for “subscriber identity module” and is a small printed circuit that stores the numbers that uniquely identify your mobile device on the network. This card is in every tracking device that Gemini Technologies offers in order to connect to the cellular towers and transmit information back and forth to our servers.
Can I use the device as a cell phone?
The Gemtek® PT300 has three speed dial numbers, and can only place outgoing calls to those 3 numbers. The device can accept incoming calls from any number just like a regular cell phone. Always remember that your voice charges will apply to any type of voice you use on your device, this includes calling out with your Gemtek® or calling in to activate the “listen-in” feature.
What is a GeoFence?
A Geofence allows a customer to set up a invisible boundary. If the unit leaves this specified area the customer will be notified through email or a cell phone text alert. Our sofware also allows you to setup contacts to recieve alerts and the type of alert they will recieve (text message or email.)
